Oregon Immunization Bill Dies5/2/2001 Associated Press In Oregon, SB450 -- a bill that would allow parents the option to object to vaccinations for their children for philosophical or personal reasons and still enroll their children in day care and public schools -- failed to get out of the Senate Education Committee. Five out of the seven committee members opposed the bill. At present, parents can only object to vaccinations on religious grounds or doctors can medically exempt children from the shots.
