A police guard is present in the room of Terri Schindler Schiavo to be certain that nothing is placed in her mouth, not even a morsel of Communion wafer, now that her gastrostomy tube has been removed. Her parents claim that their 39-year-old daughter, brain disabled for about 14 years, is conscious and wants to live. Physicians have offered pro bono treatment, including therapy to help her swallow, but all such treatment has been forbidden by the courts. Florida Governor Jeb Bush has stated that he has no authority to intervene. Additional information:
