Vote may occur this week!
Tell the Senate to
“VOTE NO on motion to proceed.”
Despite the delay in the CBO release of the scoring of the Senate healthcare bill, it looks like its analysis will be unveiled this evening at 5pm EST (see Reuters article). This means a vote on the motion to proceed may occur on Friday or Saturday. Your calls to the Senate today are urgently needed! If you can’t make your calls by 3pm EST, make them AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
We need everyone to contact their 2 Senators today & the list of targeted Democrats.

Tell them to VOTE NO on the motion to proceed whether it comes up this week or after Thanksgiving. We shut down the Senate phone system last time. Let’s do it again this afternoon! The Democrats need 60 votes (three-fifths of the Senate) to pass this motion to proceed to the bill. Stopping this motion is critical. If the motion to proceed passes then only a simple majority of 51 votes is needed to pass the Senate’s health care bill.
Today, between Noon and 3pm EST, join with citizens across the U.S.A. to tell the Senate to “VOTE NO on the motion to proceed to the healthcare reform bill.” High Noon for Health Care is a nationwide coordinated effort by over 25 groups, including AAPS and Take Back Medicine, to get the message out to the Senate today.
