My son was born in l989 and at age 12 it was mandatory here in Ontario, Canada that he receive the Hepatitis B vaccine. Within months he became very sick, lost weight and was hospitalized and diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. A disease that was once considered rare (Type I Diabetes) - there were 5 other children admitted to hospital that week- all the same age - all after having received the vaccine all with diabetes. We have been managing my son's diabetes well - however, for the first time while attending college and away from home in Ottawa he had his first seizure due to his sugars being low. Health Canada is denying any correlation between the vaccine and diabetes but I know there have been conclusive studies in Italy, Australia and I think also USA proving otherwise. I need help because I want the government and our health care system here in Canada to stop making this vaccine mandatory causing more and more of our children to develop conditions that definitely outweigh the positive effects of this vaccine. I would like to go public with the information I have here in Canada and expect that our government and health care system should take care of my son for the rest of his life (I have been paying for his insulin since age 12 as a single mother and he is now 20) and I almost lost my son this past weekend while he was away at college. If you can help me in any way with providing me more findings or information that you have or by putting me in touch with an organization that can help that would be great.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Elizabeth MacDonald
