AAPS Spring Meeting 2013
Summit to Stop the War on Doctors: ending counter-productive MOC & MOL and other obstacles to patient care.
Meeting Information: The War on Doctors: Fighting back against counter-productive Maintenance of Certification, Maintenance of Licensure, ObamaCare and other obstacles to quality patient care.
The 2013 spring meeting will focus on stopping the regulatory capture of medicine and protecting physician autonomy from top-down decision making.
Plans by licensing boards and "non-profit" certification organizations, among others, threaten to require physicians to complete expensive, time consuming, and bureaucratic certification programs (at their own expense and the expense of time spent with patients) in order to simply keep their medical license or hospital privileges.
Under the guise of improving medical care, these schemes, in reality, serve to increase the power and balance sheets of their proponents and are counterproductive to quality patient care.
With your help this war on doctors can be stopped! Attend this meeting and get the information and tools you will need to help win. You'll learn what's working and what isn't from doctors and other experts on the front lines of this battle. To prevail doctors must stand together against the forces aligned against them and their patients.
Reception, Dinner, Briefing Information:
The evening portion of the meeting will focus on what's new in the political arena in Washington, DC that will impact you, your practice, and your patients. We'll also talk about what AAPS is doing to mitigate the damage Washington is causing to American medicine and how you can join in the fight.
